SEASIDE — The Seaside boys soccer team tuned up for the post-season with a 9-0 win over Banks, in a Cowapa League regular season finale Tuesday night at Broadway Field.

In other league action, Valley Catholic held on for a 1-0 win over Tillamook, giving the Valiants the Cowapa League championship.

The win snapped a two-game losing streak for an injury-riddled Seaside team.

“We got Dodger (Holmstedt) back for a half tonight, but we lost another (player),” said Seaside coach John Chapman.

Still, “it was a great game,” he said. “Senior Chase Januik led his team to a solid win.”

The Gulls led 6-0 at halftime, and goalkeeper Samson Sibony picked up the shutout in goal.

Seaside must wait to find out where and when it will play next, although Chapman expects the No. 9-ranked Gulls to be on the road for their next game.
