The 13th annual Cannon Beach Puttz is just around the corner. Organizers are hoping the public will join them for a rollicking good time.
One organizer described the competition as creative, goofy and community-centric, featuring a silent auction and raffle. The event is the Tolovana Arts Colony’s most important fundraiser of the year.
“It's that engagement that makes the event so special,” the event announcement said. “It extends from the golfers to the folks who join us to party down at the silent auction afterwards, to the devoted business who design and host the incredible holes throughout town.”
Thanks were given to the hole hosts: The American Legion, Bill's Tavern/CB Smokehouse, The Bistro, Bruce's Candy Kitchen, Cannon Beach Distillery, Cannon Beach Escape Room, Cannon Beach Hardware and Public House, Cannon Beach Makers, Coaster Theatre, Driftwood Restaurant, Jupiter's Rare & Used Books/Whitebird Gallery, The Waves Hotel and the Wine Shack.
Puttz is Tuesday, June 4. Holes are open from 1-5 p.m. Golfers can register at Sandpiper Square, in downtown Cannon Beach. The cost is $15 per golfer, or $50 per foursome. After the holes close, come to the American Legion for the raffle, silent auction and taco feed. Tacos will be cooked by Dough Dough Bakery.
Clubs are provided, but feel free to bring your own lucky putter.
