Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is developing a site management plan for the Cape Falcon Marine Reserve and wants to hear from the public. The reserve is located just off of Oswald West State Park between Cannon Beach and Manzanita, and is the state's northernmost site.
The state designated five marine reserve sites off the Oregon coast. The sites were set aside for conservation and scientific research, along with serving as long-term monitoring sites to track and understand changes occurring in Oregon’s nearshore ocean.
Public input is wanted on the plan. Visit www.oregonmarinereserves.com for more information and survey link.
