Dear Editor: Well, Cannon Beach mayor and City Council, after the Savor Cannon Beach fiasco, are we awake and listening?
I’ve spoken to numerous people from Seattle this weekend. I asked one why he chose to travel, and he shrugged and said, “We were tired of being cooped up at home. We just wanted to get out.”
Many assumed it was fine to come this weekend because Savor Cannon Beach chose to believe they were excluded from what the entire rest of the world is doing. Who is going to take responsibility for that?
As long as there is something for people to do here on the coast, they will keep coming.
Spring break is upon us. Those who can’t go to Florida for spring break will come here. What are your plans? How are you going to protect our community?
