COVID-19 testing

The Clatsop County Public Health Department on Monday, May 3, reported six new COVID-19 cases.

The cases are:

Male, age 30-39, north-county resident

Female, age 30-39, north-county resident

Male, age 20-29, north-county resident

Female, age 0-9, south-county resident

Female, age 0-9, south-county resident

Female, age 60-69, north-county resident

All six individuals were recovering at home

The county has recorded a total of 952 COVID-19 cases since March 2020. Twenty-four individuals have been hospitalized. Eight individuals have died.

PLEASE NOTE – The county’s Risk Level status under the State of Oregon’s COVID-19 guidance metrics for business and social activity is based on COVID-19 case data as compiled by the Oregon Health Authority. The state’s case totals may differ from the county’s.

The Public Health Department reminds people to continue to wear masks, practice social distancing and follow other virus-prevention measures.
