The Clatsop County Public Health Department on Wednesday, Nov. 18, reported six new local COVID-19 cases.

The cases are:

Male, age 20-29, north-county resident

Male, age 80-81, north-county resident

Female, age 20-29, north-county resident

Male, age 50-59, north-county resident

Female, age 60-69, north-county resident

Female, age 30-39, north-county resident

One of the individuals was hospitalized; the other five are recovering at home.

The county has recorded a total of 314 COVID-19 cases since March. Four individuals have been hospitalized; on Monday, the Public Health Department was informed of the county’s first COVID-related death.

An earlier case originally included in Clatsop County’s total has been determined to be a resident of another county.

The county is offering drive-through COVID-19 testing to members of the public two days a week, including rapid tests with same-day results.
