Seaside Police responded to a disturbance at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the 1900 block of Spruce Drive. Upon arrival, officers found three adult males who had been victims of an assault where a machete and other blunt force weapons were used.
Seaside Police said two adult male suspects were arrested at the scene. Christopher Boyer, 35, of Seaside, and Gary Gobin, 40, of Seaside, were arrested on multiple charges that include first-degree assault, second-degree assault, burglary in the first degree and unlawful use of a weapon.
The residence and initial victim were known to one of the suspects. This was not a random act and the police are not searching for any outstanding suspects.
The Seaside Police Department Detective Unit was called in to investigate. The investigation continues and detectives are actively investigating the incident. Names of the victims involved are not being released at this time.
