Smoke Air Quality

Situation:

FIRES -

-Currently there are 37 active fires

-805,332,364 acres burned

-Many cities have evacuated under level 3 “GO” orders

-Several cities are now under level 2 “ BE SET” orders (Oregon City – Sandy- Canby)

Smoke Conditions:

-We are under an AIR QUALITY WARNING until Monday (NOAA national weather service warning advisory)

-Direction of the wind will move from an Eastern to a South Western over the next few days.

-Smoke condition will improve and move back to a poor level over the next 72-96 hours.

-Smoke that has been over the Pacific may return to our region as well as fires to the EAST and South of Cannon Beach

Evacuees:

-Citizens from many different location are seeking shelter.

-RED Cross resources are stretched to the max.
