Public Works hosts an open house

Ever curious about how the water stays on and the roads stay paved? The Public Works Committee is hosting an open house at noon, Wednesday, May 23, at Cannon Beach City Hall to dispel the mystery. Members of the public works department will be present to answer questions and give a show-and-tell about some of the equipment that is used to keep Cannon Beach infrastructure in working order.

The open house is a part of the annual celebration of Public Works Week.

“We want to energize and inform the public about the importance of public works,” said Public Works Committee chairwoman Carolyn Propst.
