The public is invited to provide input and help develop the city’s Parks and Trails Master Plan at an open house with the City of Cannon Beach and its consultants on June 15. The event is from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at City Hall on 163 E Gower Ave.

The meeting will focus on how public beach accesses, city parks and trails are working, and how they can be improved.

The event consists of a short presentation about the project and ample time to gather around maps to share ideas with the planning team. The presentation will be shown twice, so people are welcome to arrive anytime between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.

Public officials are undertaking a public process to develop a Parks and Trails Master Plan while accounting for the recreational needs of both its residents and seasonal visitors, as well as the rich cultural history of the area’s lands. Once it is adopted, the master plan will guide the direction for repairs, upgrades and future investments in parks, trails and recreation throughout Cannon Beach.
