The Clatsop County Public Health Department reports one new local COVID-19 case.

The individual is a female south-county resident age 30-39. She was convalescing at home.

Also, a case involving a male north-county resident age 20-29 reported on Monday as presumptive has been confirmed as positive for COVID-19. This individual was also convalescing at home. A second case reported Monday remains listed as presumptive.

“Presumptive” cases involve people who are close or household contacts of confirmed cases who are displaying COVID-19 symptoms but who have not yet been tested or whose test results are not yet available.

The county has recorded a total of 54 confirmed cases and one presumptive case since March 23. Forty-eight of those individuals have recovered; the others are convalescing at home
