Uncommonly common

A common murre egg that Diane Amos spotted on the beach. “This is the first unbroken egg we have ever seen on the beach,” Rex Amos said. “This is such an unusual find that we gave it to the Haystack Rock Awareness Program for education purposes. They were amazed to see it and grateful to have it. We haven’t seen many murres this year and the ones we have seen have been dead on the beach.”
