Supporting the arts

The Cannon Beach Arts Association received a $500 donation from US Bank's charitable giving grant program for the Columbia Pacific Region. The money will be used to sponsor the Cannon Beach Gallery's first show of 2015 and help to support the Individual Artist Grant Exhibition. This year's grant winner, Peter Greaver, has created multimedia fairy houses as a means of exploring a forgotten world of enchantment and mystical engagement with the natural world. In addition, Oregon painter Carl Annala will show a series of forest paintings as a complement to Greaver's work. The Individual Artist Grant Show will run through Jan. 25. Pictured are, from left, Elaine Norling, Cannon Beach branch manager of U.S. Bank; Andrea Mace, executive director of the Cannon Beach Arts Association; and Jason Kunde, assistant branch manager.
