A high wind watch has been issued for North Coast beaches and coastal headlands Friday.

Winds could reach 30 mph to 40 mph, with gusts of up to 60 mph, starting in the morning and lasting through the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Strong winds may blow down tree limbs, trees and power lines. Scattered power outages are possible.
