Sculptor M.J. Anderson will be joined by fine art photographer Claudia Toutain-Dorbec in a two-woman show titled “Flowers and Stone,” from Oct. 2 through Nov.2.

An artists reception is planned from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 4. Refreshments will be provided by the Cannon Beach Cafe.

Claudia Toutain-Dorbec will show large-scale color photographs taken during her residency at Claude Monet’s garden over five months in 2009. This will be the first time the work has been shown in Oregon.

M.J. Anderson is an Oregon sculptor who works in marble to create both figurative and abstract sculpture. Anderson. has spent a portion of each year for the past 25 years working in a studio above Carrara, Italy. She finds marble, roughs out sculptures and completes larger commissions that are later shipped back to the United States.

The Cannon Beach Gallery, at 1064 S. Hemlock St., is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Monday.
