Cannon Beach Book Company will host an evening with Portland author and musician Jim Stewart on Saturday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m.

Stewart, who has a longtime connection to the North Coast, has released his debut novel, “Ochoco Reach, An Ironwood Novel.” It follows freelance investigator Mike Ironwood, his special ops brother Daniel, and Bucket, a Catahoula leopard dog who is equally at home herding cattle and pinning bad guys to the floor. Stewart will read from his book and sing with local musician John Mersereau.

Wine and homemade treats will be served after the talk while Stewart signs books and chats with attendees.

This event is free and open to the public. Cannon Beach Book Company is located at 130 N. Hemlock, Suite 2; 503-436-1301.
