Author and Internet expert Steve Hudgik will conduct a seminar on how to guard against Internet fraud, viruses and email scams.

The seminar will be presented twice, at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. March 30 in Cannon Beach Bible Church, 264 E. Hills Lane, Cannon Beach. Both sessions will cover the same material and will be followed by an open question-and-answer period. No products will be sold.

The 60-minute seminar will provide an overview of:

• Email (avoiding email scams)

• Browsing the web safely

• Virus and malware protection

• How to know a computer is infected.

• Computer security

• Safe buying on the web

• Preventing identity theft

Hugik has 20 years of experience working on the Internet, covering everything from tech support to Internet programming. He also has written two books on Internet marketing, both published by Windcrest/McGraw-Hill.
