Ecoia State Park

Ecola State Park will be closed briefly this week while crews remove trees that are potentially hazardous. The park will be closed from the morning of Jan. 10 to about noon, Jan. 12.

The project will continue through early February, but no other closures are scheduled at this time.

The trees identified for removal pose a safety risk to visitors and property.

Oregon Parks and Recreation Department has hired Astoria-based David Kurns Tree Service to remove trees that could potentially harm park-goers at several North Coast parks, including Arcadia Beach State Recreation Site, Oswald West State Park and Saddle Mountain State Natural Area. If additional closures are necessary, they will be posted on the parks’ webpages at oregonstateparks.org.
