Dough Dough Bakery will be hosting their third annual Tree Trimming from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at their bakery in Seaside. Pop on by and help decorate their Christmas tree again.
Dough Dough Bakery is part bakery, part wine shop, part pizza spot. Their in-house fermentation specialist, who frequently whips up things like fermented leek kraut and probiotic spiced apple cider. Their menu consists of scones, chocolate tahini rolls, cookies and pizza.
“Cutting Christmas trees has always been a tradition in our family,” said Alex, owner and baker at Dough Dough Bakery.
Alex said she always get the biggest one to fit in the shop. People bring in their own ornaments to put on the tree.
“We have it be about community and family,” Alex said.
There will be delicious specialty snacks available for purchase, as well as hot cider, sipping chocolate and mulled wine. Chef Anh Luu is back to make chicken pho with Chef Bryan Tiller of Roll and Bowl in Astoria to make sushi and spam musubi, which is rice and a square of spam wrapped in seaweed. Alex said it’s quite popular.
Food will be available from noon to 4 p.m. There will also be food in the pastry case, including specialty cookies, which will be available all day.
