Clatsop County Small Business Development Center offers a series of winter classes. 

"Ready, set, start your business" offers ways to start a business. This class covers the basics of how to get started, and it’ll help you decide if you’re ready to be in business. It will explain what it takes to run one, and if there’s a customer base to support it. SBDC counseling is always free and confidential. Classes take place Wednesday, Jan 9, 8:30-10:30 a.m., at Clatsop Community College, Columbia Hall, room 219, Astoria; Wednesday, Feb 6,  8:30-10:30 a.m., at the South County Center; and Wednesday, March 6, 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the Columbia Hall, room 219.

Introduction to Quickbooks:is a basic introduction to QuickBooks. Each participant has a PC for hands-on learning. (In this introductory workshop, we will not have time to explore inventory or payroll. Excel, Level 1 provides an introduction to Excel, a powerful electronic spreadsheet widely used in business. Excel, Level 2 offers students with a basic foundation in Excel will continue to learn skills that are helpful in a work situation: use formulas and functions and summarize data in a pivot table.
