City officials working on 20 year transportation system plana

The Cannon Beach Transportation System Planning team has spent the past few months listening. With over 400 survey responses, existing and future conditions reports, the Cannon Beach Transportation System Plan (TSP) will be hosting its Second Online Open House to explore transportation alternatives to improve Cannon Beach's parking and transportation systems.

The Cannon Beach TSP second Online Open House will be an interactive opportunity to learn about the transportation alternatives and have your say on future solutions.

The Online Open House will review the work that has been conducted so far, including the TSP and Parking Survey results, existing and future conditions reports, and serve as an avenue for exploring various alternative solutions for transportation improvements to the Cannon Beach transportation system.

The various reports and survey results can be found at the website, by clicking on the Project Library tab. The page contains all of the materials collected so far including all of the survey responses from the citizens and guests that took the time to reflect on what works and doesn’t work in getting around Cannon Beach. The TSP hosted the second live webinar Wednesday, Sept. 22, which highlighted some of the survey and report findings, as well as, began the discussion of Transportation Alternatives. This second Online Open House will feature a survey that explores the various alternatives and asks the Cannon Beach community to weigh in on their preferences for the future transportation needs of Cannon Beach.

The City of Cannon Beach Transportation System Plan (TSP) is a long-range plan that will guide investments for the next 20 years. The TSP will include a prioritized list of needed transportation projects, programs, and policy updates for the city to begin implementing after the plan is adopted.

The Online Open House launches Oct. 1 and runs through the end of the month. Help spread the word and help build a better transportation system for the future of Cannon Beach.
