1:33 a.m., Highway 101 and Sunset: Driving under the influence of intoxication.

7:53 p.m., Whale Park: Anonymous report of a young male flying a drone and chasing the birds on the beach off 2nd headed north. Checked area but unable to locate.

Sept. 23

7:06 p.m., 300 Block Elk Creek Road: Forgery/fraud. Counterfeit $50 bill.

Sept. 24

10:39 a.m., Les Shirley: Theft in the third degree.

Sept. 25

5:57 p.m., beach: Officer attempted to assist injured bird.

Oct. 2

11:22 a.m., 100 Block S Hemlock: Suspicious circumstances. Complaint of a male acting odd in gallery. Male left prior to officer’s arrival. Male came back while officer was still there explaining options. Male was asked to leave by owner.

11:58p.m., Highway 101 North Entrance: Public assistance. Located female sitting alongside road with several bags, not dressed for 42 degree weather. Was able to find lodging for female at Helping Hands, and provided a courtesy ride.

Oct. 3

12:39 a.m., Spruce Street and Harrison Street: Vehicle discovered high-centered and abandoned after crashing and knocking down a stop sign. Driver was later cited for failure to perform duties of a driver.

9:21 p.m., Hemlock Street and Madison Street: Traffic complaint. Located subjects in vehicle and assisted them to their motel.

Oct. 4

9:04 p.m., 1100 Block Spruce Court: Parking complaint. Officers made contact with registered owners. Vehicles were moved. Officers cleared.

Oct. 5

7:30 p.m., 1200 Block South Hemlock: Trespass notice. Caller reported subject unwanted in establishment due to prior actions. Upon officer arrival, subject had left and was unable to be located.

9:07 p.m., 600 Block Laurel Street: Death investigation.

Oct. 7

4:39 p.m., Highway 101/Milepost 26: Officer assisted a disabled motorist. Trailer’s weld broke and owner was able to contact a mobile welder.

Oct. 8

8:14 a.m., 200 Block North Larch Street: Suspicious circumstances. Assisted intoxicated subject back to her hotel.

2:22 p.m., 200 Block North Spruce Street: Traffic complaint. Officer spoke with the driver about driving safely and cleared.

6:18 p.m., 100 Block East Ross Lane: Code violation. Caller reporting leaf blower as a noise disturbance. Officer responded and advised subjects were done using the leaf blower for the day.
