11:44 p.m. Les Shirley Park: suspicious circumstances. Report of a female screaming in the Les Shirley park area. Complainant at Whale Park. Checked area and found a group of loud renters on a deck by Les Shirley Park. They said they heard nothing. Asked to quiet down because of noise carrying.

Aug. 21

1:38 p.m. Delta Street: code violation. Subject warned for sleeping in a recreational vehicle without permit on a city right-of-way.

8:33 p.m. U.S. Highway 101 at north entrance: traffic roads. Report of road-struck animal in roadway. Officer removed animal carcass.

9:45 p.m. One block south of West Madison: fireworks offense. Report of fireworks. Officer unable to locate.

11:23 p.m. Sewer ponds: possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

Aug. 22

9:20 p.m. Ocean and Jackson Street: suspicious circumstances. Officer contacted group of campers planning to camp on beach. Subjects moving on.

Aug. 23

2:10 a.m. 800 block of Beach Drive: assistance provided to Seaside Police Department. At Seaside’s request, officer backed them up on a report of a minor-in-possession party. Eleven of 13 were cited.

6:37 p.m. Bartell Road: fireworks offense. Report of fireworks. Subjects contacted were not lighting fireworks but shooting a rifle outside of city limits. No violations.

11:32 p.m. Skate Park: camping within city limits. Warned for unlawful lodging.

RV negotiated turn from Second Street onto Hemlock Streets, struck mirror of legally parked and unoccupied pickup. Damaged pickup mirror. No damage to RV mirror.

3:44 a.m. U.S. Highway 101 at North Entrance: property found. Driver’s license confiscated from suspended driver during traffic stop.

12:04 p.m. Ecola State Park: emergency medical response. Assisted Cannon Beach Fire and Rescue with diabetic patient at the viewpoint.

12:02 a.m. 200 block of North Larch Street: suspicious circumstances. Report of two suspicious males lurking around The Waves motel. One was peering into a room. Officer checked area extensively and did not see anyone.

2:02 a.m. Oak Street: camping within city limits. Case taken for overnight camping. Subject advised of code and moved.

1:01 p.m. 100 block of Coolidge Street: property crimes. Responded to residence for a criminal mischief III. Tires deflated and shed door opened.

8:25 a.m. 100 block of West Washington Street: unlawful entry in motor vehicle. Suspect took $50 worth of items. Theft III.

7:32 p.m. U.S. Highway 101: assistance rendered. Disabled motorist; not a traffic hazard. Waiting for friend to pick her up. Vehicle to be towed tomorrow.
