10:59 a.m. U.S. Highway 26 at milepost 29 westbound: traffic complaint. Officer assisted Oregon State Police and Seaside Police Department in locating a vehicle involved in a traffic complaint. Vehicle was described as a black Chevy Silverado, speeding, the driver shaking his fist and forcing people out of lane. Driver was found to be suspended. Vehicle was towed and the driver cited by Seaside Police Department.

Oct. 13

8:50 a.m. Bruce’s Candy Kitchen: criminal mischief III. Wine bottle broken outside business. Broken glass was swept, and officer cleared.

12:08 p.m. Skate Park: code violation. Verbal warnings issued for: no helmet, dog off leash, parking in RV space.

7:21 p.m. 100 block of West Jackson Street: theft by receiving.

11:50 a.m. Hemlock and Jefferson streets: dog impound. Two black labs brought to police department, found running on Hemlock Street. Owner was contacted and dogs released to a responsible party.

Oct. 14

11:15 p.m. 200 block of Spruce Street: camping within city limits. Overnight camping in vehicle on 200 block of Spruce Street. Advised of code. Moved.

Oct. 15

12:17 a.m. Elk Run Park: camping within city limits. Subjects contacted for camping. Advised of options and cleared.

10:55 a.m. Warren Way overpass: camping within city limits. Complaint of campers under the overpass. Officer made contact and issued verbal warnings. Officer cleared.

4:30 p.m. 3400 block of South Hemlock Street: theft II. Report of theft from a hotel room.

Oct. 16

1:05 a.m. Oak Court: camping within city limits. Subject(s) warned for unlawful lodging.

6:28 p.m. Chapman Point: camping within city limits. Report of camping on Chapman Point. Made contact with the responsible party and advised they couldn’t camp there and they needed to move along.

Oct. 17

3:27 a.m. Tolovana Wayside: camping within city limits. Subject(s) warned for unlawful lodging.

3:35 a.m. Hemlock Street and Warren Way: camping within city limits. Subject(s) warned for unlawful lodging.

3:58 a.m. Tolovana Wayside: assistance rendered. Officer assisted citizens in finding area for overnight camping.

4:20 a.m. Second and Spruce streets: camping within city limits. Subject(s) warned for unlawful lodging.

Oct. 19

6:55 p.m. U.S. Highway 101, half a mile north of Cannon Beach: one-vehicle motor vehicle accident. No injuries. Vehicle was determined to be operable, and damage was determined to be under $1,500.

Oct. 20

10:40 a.m. U.S. Highway 101 at Sunset Boulevard: traffic complaint. Report of a vehicle off the side of the road. Officer arrived. Vehicle had flat tire.

3:57 p.m. 400 block of Kimberly Court: suspicious circumstances. Reported squatters inside a vacant home. Officer checked the residence, which was unoccupied. Officer reported a trail to the highway that runs near the house. Officer made contact with the complainant and cleared.

Oct. 21

2:57 a.m. U.S. Highway 101 at Sunset Bridge: camping within city limits. Subject(s) warned for unlawful lodging.

Oct. 23

12:15 a.m. First and Hemlock streets: assistance provided to another agency. Officer located a vehicle involved with a missing person case out of Washington.

8:19 a.m. 100 block of West Second Street, room: death investigation.

11:10 p.m. Skate Park: camping within city limits. Subject(s) warned for unlawful lodging.

11:17 p.m. Tolovana Wayside: camping within city limits. Subject warned for unlawful lodging.

Oct. 24

8:45 p.m. Second Street restrooms: warrant arrest. Contacted subjects for criminal mischief. One subject was arrested and taken to Clatsop County Jail for a warrant.

Oct. 25

12:05 a.m. Les Shirley Park: camping within city limits. Subject(s) warned for unlawful lodging.
