1:13 a.m. Beach at First Street: camping within city limits. Subjects contacted and warned for overnight camping.

12:44 p.m. Beach at Tolovana Wayside: civil. Dog off leash jumped on girl by the surf knocking off her glasses. One lens lost. Owner of dog said she would reimburse cost for the lens. Gave victim her phone number. Victim did not want to sign complaint.

9:40 p.m. U.S. Highway 101 at milepost 28: assistance rendered. Report of suspicious activity regarding subject removing items from a boat on a trailer parked alongside the highway. Officer contacted subject, who informed him that the right trailer tire had blown out and they were removing valuable items from their boat while their brother attempted to locate a replacement tire. Officer verified information with brother via telephone, who was en route back to the boat-trailer from Hillsboro. Subjects unable to locate a tire and will get a hotel in Seaside for the night and purchase a new tire from Les Schwab in the morning. Officer advised subject that extra patrols will be performed along the highway while they left the boat for the night.

Sept. 29

12:52 a.m. Spruce Street at City Park: camping within city limits. Subjects contacted and warned for overnight camping.

11:46 p.m. Second Street Skate Park: camping within city limits. Subjects contacted and warned for overnight camping.

Sept. 30

12:43 a.m. 3200 block of South Hemlock Street: suspicious circumstances. Complaint of loud noise thought to be an explosion. Officer observed fireworks at the time of the report.

1:10 p.m. Brailler and Ocean Avenue: welfare check. Caller reporting a subject in wheelchair in the surf. Officer contacted male who was enjoying the day with his wife and dog.

11:41 p.m. Second Street Sewer Ponds: camping within city limits. Subjects contacted and warned for overnight camping.

Oct. 1

12:12 a.m. Tolovana Wayside: camping within city limits. Subject contacted and warned for overnight camping.

12:53 a.m. Haystack Parking Lot: camping within city limits. Subject contacted and warned for overnight camping.

1:17 a.m. East Second Street restrooms: camping within city limits. Subjects contacted and warned for overnight camping.

1:37 a.m. 200 block of West Second Street: camping within city limits. Subject contacted and warned for overnight camping.

7:34 p.m. U.S. Highway 101 at Arch Cape Tunnel: public assistance. Vehicle lost front passenger tire inside the Arch Cape tunnel. One lane tunnel blocked. Gary’s Service Center towed vehicle from the tunnel.

Oct. 2

6:01 p.m. 100 block of Dawes Avenue: call for information. Subject calling to report stolen $100,000. Officer unable to contact subject for information. Subject has past law enforcement contact involving mental health issues.

Oct. 3

11:14 p.m. Sewer Ponds: camping within city limits. Subject(s) warned for unlawful lodging.

11:30 p.m. Hemlock and Spruce streets: camping within city limits. Subject(s) warned for unlawful lodging.

Oct. 4

7 p.m. U.S. Highway 101 and U.S. Highway 26 junction: assistance provided to Oregon State Police with pursuit. Motorcycle at speeds of 110 mph. Motorcycle crashed at U.S. Highway 101 and U.S. Highway 26 junction to Cannon Beach.

11:04 p.m. Sewer ponds: camping within city limits. Subject(s) warned for unlawful lodging.

11:22 p.m. First and Hemlock streets: camping within city limits. Subject(s) warned for unlawful lodging.

Oct. 5

12:58 a.m. U.S. Highway 101 northbound at milepost 37: assistance provided to another agency. Mother transporting 22-year-old son to Providence for possible alcohol poisoning. Met by Medix and Cannon Beach Emergency Medical Response at Arcadia Park. Son transported to Seaside Hospital by Medix.

Oct. 6

12:16 a.m. 1900 block of Hemlock Street: camping within city limits. Overnight camping. Subject(s) advised of code, moved.

12:39 a.m. Hemlock and Van Buren streets: possession of cocaine. Subject charged with possession of a controlled substance and tampering with evidence.

Oct. 7

12:16 p.m. 4000 block of Pacific Street: burglary I. Report of cash taken from inside home. Exact date of theft is unknown but estimated between Oct. 4 and 6.

Oct. 8

10:18 a.m. Beach off of Monroe Street: camping within city limits. Caller reporting campers in tent. No one was at the tent when officer checked. Officer left a business card advising that camping was not allowed.

11:37 a.m. 100 block of East Gower Street: assistance rendered. Contacted blind female sitting in curbside grass. She was attempting to get to the Conference Center. Officer gave female a courtesy ride.

8:45 p.m. Sewer ponds: camping within city limits. Subjects contacted while setting up camp. Officer had advised of ordinance prior to committing offense. Officer escorted to area to camp because of language barrier.

10:52 p.m. U.S. Highway 101 at north entrance: suspicious circumstances. Traffic stop found numerous known drug users together without a coherent story of why they were in town.

12:37 a.m. Tolovana Wayside: camping within city limits. Subject(s) warned for unlawful lodging.

11:24 a.m. 100 block of West Taft Street: burglary I, theft. Stolen purse.

Oct. 10

1:04 a.m. Elk Run Park: camping within city limits. Subject(s) warned for unlawful lodging.

2:15 a.m. Oak Court: camping within city limits. Subject warned for unlawful lodging.
