Nov. 11

10:58 a.m. 600 block of North Larch Street: dog at large. Complaint of a dog at large, defecating on the front steps of an anonymous neighbor. Officer made contact with the dog owner, issued a verbal warning.

Nov. 14

5:46 p.m. 300 block of Elk Creek Road: suspicious circumstances. Subject informed he could hear someone yelling what he thought was for help coming from the area of the Elk Creek Terrace Apartments. After further investigation, it was determined the sound was from children playing in the street.

Nov. 15

12:36 a.m. U.S. Highway 101 and Rippet Road: property found. Subject contacted for traffic violation. Upon stopping the vehicle, officer observed a pill bottle with the label taken off. Officer warned the subject for tampering with drug records. Subject was cited for not having an operator’s license.

9:29 a.m. Haystack Rock: code violation. Received complaint of vehicle launching dory on ocean shore in front of Haystack Rock. Checked vehicle; no dory permit visible. No permit listed on file. Left note on vehicle advising to obtain dory launch permit. Subject arrived same day and obtained permit.

7:53 p.m. Arch Cape: assistance provided to another agency. Officers responded to Arch Cape and assisted Cannon Beach Fire and Rescue with a report of a fire burning out of control.

Nov. 16

12:11 a.m. 1100 block of Pacific Drive: call on a disturbance. Caller reported noisy drunks that wouldn’t leave. Officers responded. Couple was grieving over recent family loss and returned to their hotel room.

11:15 a.m. U.S. Highway 101: property found. Received a report of found oxycodone prescriptions on highway shoulder at approximately milepost 35. Taken for safe keeping and turned over to Clatsop County Sheriff’s Office.

Nov. 17

10:15 a.m. Hemlock and Pacific streets: criminal mischief III. Spray paint on roadway and street signs.

Nov. 20

2:39 p.m. U.S. Highway 101 at U.S. Highway 26 junction: traffic roads. Caller reporting a man standing in the middle of the highway. Caller transfered to Oregon State Police dispatch. Clatsop County Sheriff’s Office and Seaside Police Department officers advised. Cannon Beach Police Department officer contacted subject, who was waiving him down. Officer warned subject about complaints.

Nov. 22

2:13 a.m. Tolovana Wayside: camping within city limits. Subject(s) warned for unlawful lodging.

8:43 p.m. U.S. Highway 101 northbound at milepost 27: DUII. Responded to three-vehicle motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, it was determined that the crash involved an intoxicated male subject. After further investigation, the subject was taken into custody for driving under the influence of intoxicants and later tested at 0.17 blood-alcohol content.
