Clatsop County Cultural Coalition

Do you have an idea for a project that would support, maintain or protect cultural programs in the arts, heritage or humanities in Clatsop County? If so, you have until Oct. 31 to apply for grant funding from the Clatsop County Cultural Coalition to support your project.

Grants will be announced in December 2020 for activities occurring between Jan. 1, 2021, and Dec. 31, 2021. Projects can receive awards up to $2,000 each, with approximately $10,000 distributed to applicants each grant cycle.

Applications must be submitted by organizations with 501©3 nonprofit status or individuals who are sponsored by a nonprofit fiscal agent. Eligible projects must meet at least one of the coalition’s funding priorities, which include:

· Raising awareness of culture in the visual and performing arts, heritage and/or humanities;

· Supporting the preservation, functionality and/or sustained usage of physical facilities for visual and performing arts, heritage, and/or humanities in Clatsop County; or

· Strengthening the overall health of existing non-profit organizations, schools, individuals, or businesses related to visual and performing arts, heritage, and/or humanities in Clatsop County.

The county coalition is funded by the Oregon Cultural Trust for the purpose of awarding funds to projects that support, maintain, preserve and protect cultural programs in the arts (both visual and performing), heritage and humanities. The coalition does not report directly to the IRS or any other tax entity but all grants received from the Oregon Cultural Trust are public record.

It is preferred that applications are submitted by email as a single PDF document. Email these documents to before noon Oct. 31. Hard copies of applications can be mailed to the coalition at PO Box 864, Astoria OR 97103. They must arrive by 5 p.m. Oct. 31 and postmarks are not accepted.
